War that never ends, Vance: The conflict with Iran will last a little longer

United States Vice President JD Vance stated that the war with Iran will continue for a short period, with the aim of "neutralizing" the threat from the Islamic Republic for the long term.

In an interview on the "Benny Show" podcast, Vance said that the vast majority of US military objectives have already been achieved, implying that the operations are nearing completion.

" The president is going to continue for a little while longer to make sure that, once we leave, we don't have to do this again for a very, very long period of time ," he said.

The statement is one of the rare cases where a senior American official acknowledges that the effects of military intervention may not be permanent.

Vance justified the continuation of the operation by emphasizing that Iran remains a continuing threat. " This country threatens us in many ways. They are still trying to develop nuclear weapons. We have to neutralize them for a very long time, and that is the goal ," he said.

He also commented on the increase in gas prices, describing it as a temporary reaction to the conflict. According to him, the economic impact will be short-term.

" It's a very short-term consequence of a conflict that won't last long. We have no interest in staying in Iran for a year or two. We'll leave quickly and gas prices will drop again ," Vance said.
