A double murder has shocked Italy, while a soldier executed his ex-girlfriend's mother and sister with his service weapon, after a conflict with the 22-year-old.
The massacre happened around 17:00 yesterday in the popular neighborhood of San Valentino in Cisterna di Latina. Immediately after the crime, the young man called a retired relative to tell him about the bloody afternoon: with his service pistol, the non-commissioned officer tried to kill his ex-girlfriend, Desirée Amato, but instead shot her 19-year-old sister Renée. and the girls' mother, 46-year-old Nicoletta Zomparelli, leaving them dead in their home in the village.
The 27-year-old had arrived at the house of his ex-girlfriend, the relationship with which he had ended at the girl's will a week ago. A violent argument with shouting followed the discussion between them and then gunshots were heard. The ex-girlfriend of the soldier managed to save herself by locking herself in the bathroom.
How did the event happen?
The young marshal had spent the night in the villa in via Monti Lepini, in the well-known San Valentino neighborhood, the residence of the victims' family. During his relationship with Desirée, the young man had become a family with Amatos, so much so that he often stopped to sleep with them, despite the end of the relationship with the 22-year-old.

The two people who were shot were the girl's mother and sister, who intervened to protect her. While Desirée managed to escape, locking herself in the bathroom to save herself. But when the sergeant got out, she ran outside, unharmed but shaken, to a nearby gas station to call for help. She was rescued and the police arrived soon after.
Sodano's escape
Marshal Sodano, who serves in Ostia, left the scene in his car to take refuge in his uncle's apartment on the outskirts of Latina, where he was tracked down by the police a few hours later, to was sent to the police station. The father and husband of the two victims on the other hand traded fruit and vegetables, while the brother is a convicted criminal, originally from Campania, involved several times in law enforcement operations for drug trafficking in the southern Pontine area.
