Thousands of supporters of Ekrem Imamoglu have gathered in front of the courthouse where the Istanbul mayor is being tried. He appeared in court this evening to review his security measures and will be released tonight. Although Erdogan has called off the protests, thousands of citizens have clashed with police as they gathered in front of the courthouse.
This has irritated Erdogan, who has launched attacks.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that "the CHP has become the game not only of thieves, but also of leftist organizations."
" Hundreds of thousands of young people have been deceived and a lot of dirt is being spread beyond the boundaries of logic, conscience and morality. Balls of money, dollars and euros are being poured left and right. But the CHP chairman and his friends cannot answer to any of it. They cannot stand before the people and say: 'There is no fraud, theft, corruption, favoritism.'"

"They can't vouch for their mayors, for their municipal administrators, for their friends with whom they have done business and traveled together for years. Instead of coming out and responding to complaints like lions, they are trying to suppress crime by attacking us, hiding behind youth, putting forward leftist organizations ," he said.

According to him, for four days now they have been doing everything in the name of disturbing the peace of the nation and polarizing our people. “ From insulting everyone in front of them to attacking our police officers who are simply doing their job, from intimidating our justice workers who are investigating corruption allegations to suppressing the national will with terrorism on the streets ,” he said.

" We can see very clearly that in the current administration, the CHP has turned into a mechanism that launders the money of a handful of municipal robbers, money-grubbers, not a party that takes the demands of its voters to Parliament. The interest networks that benefit from the municipalities have plunged the CHP into dirt, rust, mud, corruption and lawlessness ," he argued.
In the end he said that ' CHP cannot regain its political reputation or its identity as a political party unless it is cleansed of these thieves and robbers who have wrapped it like poison ivy '.
