The People's Advocate of Ukraine has called for an international investigation into the downing of the Russian plane yesterday.
The news was announced by foreign media , according to which, this request comes after Russia's accusations that Ukraine shot down the plane and that 65 Ukrainian prisoners were on board.
People's Advocate Dmytro Lubinets said: "We demand a recognized international investigation."
He said he would send letters to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross calling for such an investigation.
"As for an international investigation, I believe we will do our part to make it happen. But I'm sure that… the Russians will make loud declarations, but they won't let anyone in. They will not submit any material for analysis and will simply blame Ukraine," he said.
"According to my information, I cannot say that there were really prisoners of war. We did not see any indication that there were such a large number of people on the plane," he added.
