A woman in Mexico spent her wedding day in a cell, handcuffed after she was arrested with her groom shortly before the ceremony on charges of extortion and kidnapping, possibly for a drug cartel.
According to the Daily Mail, the bride, named Nancy N, was arrested on December 22, the day she was scheduled to marry her sweetheart Clemente N, also known as "Raton."
Prosecutors released video and photos showing Nancy N. in a dress and handcuffed, surrounded by police. Six other men were arrested that day, while the groom managed to escape.

The suspects are believed to be linked to a drug cartel known as La Familia Michoacana, which has been accused of killing six people with a drone in southern Mexico in early January.
According to the authorities, this crime is part of a wider "war" between rival gangs for control of the area.
