From the US to China and Saudi Arabia, world leaders' reactions after the

Countries around the world have reacted to Israel's attacks on Iran, with some expressing concern and others criticizing the move.

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry  expressed its "strong condemnation and denunciation," saying the "flagrant Israeli aggression" undermines "Iran's sovereignty and security and constitutes a clear violation of international laws and norms."

The Chinese embassy in Iran  called the situation in Iran "serious and complex," urging Chinese citizens in the country to closely monitor developments and increase their security measures, including avoiding sensitive or crowded areas.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US was not involved in the Israeli airstrikes, adding in a statement that "our top priority is the protection of US forces in the region."

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said Canberra was “alarmed by the escalation between Israel and Iran.” She called on all parties to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy, saying: “This risks further destabilizing an already unstable region.”

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon called the attacks “a truly unwelcome development in the Middle East,” warning that “the risk of miscalculation is high.” U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations scheduled for Sunday in Oman are seen as “the best way forward,” Luxon said — although it is not clear now whether the talks will go ahead.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres  “condemns any military escalation in the Middle East,” a spokesman for the UN chief said in a statement reported by Reuters. Guterres called on both sides to show restraint.

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman  Randhir Jaiswal said the country was “closely monitoring the evolving situation, including reports related to attacks on nuclear facilities,” and urged both sides to avoid escalation. He said India had “close and friendly” relations with both Israel and Iran.
