One person was killed and another was injured in a mafia attack that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Thessaloniki.
Everything happened around 1:00 PM, when an unknown person shot two men of Turkish origin who were in a car and were driving near the intercity bus station.
As thestival.gr reports, the 39-year-old who lost his life was the passenger in the car that was shot at and according to information, he received two bullets in the head and chest.
The same information indicates that the driver of the vehicle, also a 39-year-old Turk, was injured.
From the evidence collected regarding the assassination, it is suspected that the perpetrators used a black jeep without license plates. This car approached and blocked the path of the vehicle carrying the victim and the injured, forcing it to stop. Then, a person got out of the black jeep and started shooting at them.
Strong police forces and EKAB ambulances immediately arrived at the scene, while officers from the Organized Crime Directorate are also participating in the investigation.
Seven shell casings were found at the scene. After the shooting, the perpetrators fled the scene in their vehicle, while authorities are investigating whether the black jeep used exclusively for the incident was abandoned or burned. There is no information yet on the number of people in the perpetrators' vehicle.
