The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has declared that he has launched a counterattack against Russian forces, but did not provide any further details.
During the press conference held in Kiev together with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, he also spoke about Russian President Vladimir Putin. The latter claimed that Kiev's long-awaited counterattack was failing.
"It is interesting what Putin said about our counterattack. It is important for Russia to always feel this: that there is not much time, in my opinion ," Zelensky said.
Also, Zelensky has a message for Putin and says he is in daily contact with military commanders, along with the head of the armed forces, Valery Zaluzhny.
We recall that the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022 when Russia ordered Russian military forces to move towards Ukraine. Since that day, Ukraine has been facing Russian invasion and for weeks there have been rumors about the possibility of a counterattack by Ukrainian forces.
