Iranian president declares end to war, Netanyahu boasts of 'historic

Tehran and Tel Aviv claim victory at the end of an intense military clash that nearly led the region to an irreversible escalation. Amid the noise of missiles and shadowy diplomacy, the reality of peace remains fragile.

Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, declared the official end to what he called the "12-day war" imposed by "Israel's adventurous provocations." In a statement to the state-run IRNA news agency, Pezeshkian said: " After the heroic resistance of our great nation, we are witnessing the establishment of a ceasefire and the end of this imposed war ."

But in Tel Aviv, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave the event a very different interpretation – calling the conflict “a historic victory” for Israel.

We rose like a lion and our roar shook Tehran ,” Netanyahu declared in his first appearance since the ceasefire. “ We destroyed critical nuclear facilities in Arak, Natanz and Isfahan. This war will be studied in all the military academies of the world .”

He added that any attempt by Iran to rebuild its nuclear program would be immediately destroyed and stressed the need to "complete the mission" against what he called the "Iranian axis of evil," including the return of kidnapped soldiers and the destruction of Hamas.

On the other hand, Iranian officials insist that the ceasefire was demanded by the US and Israel, who failed to achieve any of their military objectives, including the destruction of Tehran's nuclear and missile capabilities.
