At least 3,428 protesters have been killed in Iran since the start of the anti-government movement, the non-governmental organization Iran Human Rights reported today.
(IHR), which also reported more than 10,000 arrests. The sharp increase in the number of victims compared to the previous count is explained by "new information received from sources within the Iranian ministries of health and education," the Norway-based organization said.
"This number is an absolute minimum," the NGO warns, noting that it has received "new reports and evidence that further demonstrate the scale of the violence."
