
Macedonian citizens have taken to the streets today to protest the tragedy that occurred in Kocani, where 59 people died in a discotheque.
They held a protest march, while attacking a coffee bar, which is owned by the owner who had the disco.
After a spontaneous gathering of citizens in the center of Kocani, a group of one hundred young people rushed into the bar and broke chairs, windows, and everything else.
Damjan Danevski, Filip Ivanovski, Dragana Minova and Stefanija Sokolovska are students of the “Jane Sandandski” Medical High School in Stip, who lost their lives in the tragedy at the disco in Kocani. With their photos in their hands, shouting “Anyone could be next”, “We demand justice for all the guilty”, “The state is sinking”, “Murder”, “Death to corruption”, a one-hour protest and march was held in Stip. Starting from the city square “Sloboda”, marching through the streets and stopping in front of the Stip Municipality building, where they shouted “Anyone could be next”, “Murder”.
Aleksandra Vukanova, a student at the “Jane Sandanski” gymnasium in Shtip, in her speech at the “Sloboda” city square in front of her classmates and students from other high schools in Shtip, said: “Today we are here, we will unite all our forces and fight to the end, for all our friends, for all our idols, for all our parents, for all our colleagues. “This will not go unpunished, everyone must receive their punishment.”
