Satellite images have revealed how Moscow is increasing its military presence on the Finnish border.
Moscow is building shelters for troops, infrastructure for aircraft development and renovating old facilities at key military bases, analysts said, in a sign it is seeking to bolster its capabilities in the border region.
The images, which were obtained by Swedish broadcaster SVT from Planet Labs, suggest there was activity at four locations within Russia - Kamenka, Petrozavodsk, Severomorsk-2 and Olenya.

In Kamenka - just 37 miles from the Finnish border - more than 130 military tents have been set up since February.
The previously undeveloped area now looks like it could accommodate up to 2,000 soldiers, according to SVT.
In Petrozavodsk - about 170 kilometers from the border - three large storage halls have been built, capable of holding about 50 armored vehicles each.
It is believed that the new construction may be aimed at hiding the true number of vehicles parked there.
