Mikhail Kasyanov was Prime Minister of Russia under Putin from 2000-2004. But since he was fired, he has become one of the president's leading critics.
Asked by the BBC where he thinks Prigozhin will go, he said: “I think he will go to Belarus first, but I think he will go from Belarus to Africa and it will be somewhere in the jungle or something.
"Mr Putin cannot forgive him for this."
Prigozhin, he says, has destroyed Putin's stability and his life will be under "a big question mark" as a result.
For Putin, Kasyanov says, this is "the beginning of the end ... he is in very big trouble now."
In Russia, Prigozhin's march was taken seriously. In Moscow, anti-terror measures were taken, images were published of how ditches were opened on the highways, to hinder Wagner's troops.
According to ARD, the toleration of a private army like Wagner is related to the fact that Putin almost handed over the monopoly of state power to private hands. Prigozhin was tolerated and allowed to do the dirty work. Like in Ukraine, Syria, or Africa. Saturday's dramatic developments are a "heavy blow to Putin's image".
