Russia explodes in accusations against the West: Boll put pressure on Serbia and
Sergey Lavrov

Russia accuses the West of using the bloc integration card to pressure countries like Serbia and Turkey to join the anti-Russian sanctions.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov referred to Turkey's interest in joining BRICS, the alliance of the largest developing economies, which includes Russia and China.

Lavrov says that the European Union is warning Ankara that joining the BRICS is incompatible with integration into the bloc and a unified security policy. According to the head of Moscow's diplomacy, the West also has such an approach towards Serbia.

"It is an open order to join the anti-Russian sanctions if Turkey wants to become a member of the European Union. The same is true in the case of Serbia. They told her that they will renew active negotiations for EU membership, that they see it as part of the 'European family', but that it is necessary to recognize Kosovo's independence and fully support the anti-Russian sanctions," said Lavrov.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has emphasized on several occasions that the country aspires to become a member of the BRICS alliance, but it has yet to be confirmed if Anakaraja has officially applied as Moscow is claiming. Erdogan claims that his country should simultaneously develop relations with the East and the West.

Russia and China have accelerated efforts to expand the alliance as a way to increase global influence. Putin has also invited Serbian President Vučić to participate in the BRICS summit in Kazan, but the latter has not yet confirmed his participation. "I have neither accepted nor rejected it", he said.
