United States Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that Iran should choose the path of negotiations, emphasizing that President Donald Trump "is not bluffing."
During a press conference on the tense situation in Iran, Hegseth said that an agreement would be the wisest option for Tehran at this time.
"If Iran is smart, it will seek a deal. President Donald Trump is not bluffing," he said.
The Pentagon chief also announced that he made a surprise visit to the Middle East over the weekend, where he met with US troops stationed at military bases in the region.
His visit comes at a time of high tensions in the Middle East, as the US continues to send strong messages to Iran through statements and military presence on the ground.
