United States Vice President JD Vance has made an unusual statement regarding Unidentified Flying Objects, suggesting that they may not be extraterrestrial beings, but "demons."
During an interview on the "Benny Show" podcast, Vance said he has a long-standing interest in UFOs, although he has not yet had time to review official documents on the matter.
"I haven't had a chance to see them yet, but I will. Believe me, I'm obsessed with this topic," he said.
However, the comment that attracted the most attention was his interpretation of the nature of these phenomena.
"I don't think they're aliens, I think they're demons, but that's a longer discussion," Vance declared.
He added that many religions, including Christianity, accept the existence of unseen forces such as good and evil, suggesting that unexplained phenomena may have a spiritual basis and not necessarily extraterrestrial.
According to him, people often automatically label strange phenomena as "alien," while they may be linked to earlier religious concepts.
"One of the devil's greatest tricks is to convince people that he doesn't exist," he added.
Vance's statements come at a time when UFO phenomena have returned to the center of public debate in the US.
Other prominent political figures have also commented on the subject. Former President Barack Obama recently clarified that he had not seen evidence of the existence of aliens during his term, while current President Donald Trump has announced that work is underway to release documents related to these phenomena.
Meanwhile, US authorities have taken concrete steps, including registering domains like "alien.gov" and "aliens.gov", which has increased speculation about what the government might actually know.
Asked whether these documents would be made public, Vance responded briefly:
“We are working on this.”
