It added that its embassy was operating normally, but the situation “could escalate rapidly and poses significant risks.”
Earlier, Britain announced the temporary withdrawal of its diplomatic staff from Iran due to the security situation. "Our embassy continues to operate remotely," the British Foreign Office said.

The Polish Foreign Ministry has called on its citizens to immediately leave Iran, Israel and Lebanon. "The security situation in the Middle East is unstable. The risk of escalation is high! The US State Department today gave the green light for all non-essential personnel and family members serving at the US mission to leave Israel. According to information from the Times of Israel website, the US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, reportedly told US embassy staff members that if they want to leave the country, they should do so today.
"Focus on finding a seat on any flight that will allow you to continue your journey to Washington, but the first priority will be to leave the country quickly," Huckabee reportedly wrote in an email to embassy staff.
He continued: “There is no need to panic, but for those who wish to leave, it is important to make plans to leave as soon as possible.”
