The UK Ministry of Defense has recently raised serious doubts as it stated that Prigozhin "may" be dead, but there is no "conclusive evidence".
In their daily British intelligence update, it is said that his death would have a "deeply destabilizing effect" on the Wagner group.
"Exactly two months after the Wagner Group mutiny, an Embraer airliner crashed near Tver, between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Russian authorities claim 10 people on board have died, including Yevgeny Prigozhin," the British intelligence update read . .
British intelligence further wrote that there was still no conclusive evidence that Prigozhin was on board and that he was known to exercise extraordinary security measures. However, there is a good chance that he is dead.
"The death of Prigozhin would certainly have a profoundly destabilizing effect on the Wagner group. His personal attributes of hyper-activity, extraordinary courage, desire for results and extreme brutality permeated Wagner and cannot possibly be matched by any successor." it was written in the British intelligence update.
