A new tracking system made its debut in one of the most historic and critical rescue operations in U.S. history...
A top-secret technology system that uses artificial intelligence is said to have been deployed by the CIA to help locate American soldiers in extreme environments. According to a report in the New York Post, the device, codenamed "Ghost Murmur," was first used in the operation to find a US pilot who was shot down in Iran.
The technology is based on a highly sophisticated method known as long-range quantum magnetometry. Essentially, this method attempts to detect the electromagnetic "fingerprint" created by a person's heartbeat.
Its effectiveness appears to have already been confirmed, after a pilot was rescued after his fighter jet crashed in southern Iran. A source speaking to the New York Post described the device's operation in detail: "It's like hearing a voice inside a stadium, except the stadium is a thousand square miles of desert. Under the right conditions, if your heart is beating, we'll find you."
As the source explains, this signal is usually so weak that it can only be recorded in a hospital setting, with sensors practically strapped to the chest. However, developments in quantum magnetometry, particularly through sensors based on microscopic defects in synthetic diamonds, have allowed these signals to be detected from much greater distances.
Despite its impressive features, the system is not omnipotent. It works best in isolated areas with low "noise" and requires significant processing time to produce results.
The revelation comes at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions. US President Donald Trump recently made a public intervention through the Truth Social platform, threatening Iran with harsh measures if US demands are not met.
In his post, he stated, among other things, that "an entire civilization can be wiped out," while at the same time expressing hope for regime change and a different future for the country.
A few weeks ago, Trump had approved the launch of bombing attacks against Iran, while together with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, they had stated that the goal was to destroy Tehran's nuclear capabilities.
The US president has also stressed that he seeks to prevent Iran from "arming and directing terrorist forces beyond its borders", confirming that the US is already engaged in "major military operations".
Despite the escalation, a two-week ceasefire was unexpectedly announced on Tuesday, April 8, a development that leaves open questions about the next day in the region.
It remains unknown whether "Ghost Murmur" will be a decisive tool in such operations, however its existence highlights the rapid evolution of technology in the field of modern war strategy. /Adapted Pamphlet /
