British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will travel to Washington tomorrow to attend the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, where other European leaders will also be present.
In an official statement, Downing Street stressed that Starmer's participation comes after he welcomed President Trump's efforts to end Russia's illegal war in Ukraine, reaffirming that the path to peace cannot be defined without Zelensky's involvement.
Starmer also co-chaired a meeting today, where security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a possible agreement were discussed.
"During the meeting to be held tomorrow at the White House, the Prime Minister, together with other European partners, is ready to support this new phase of talks and will reaffirm that his support for Ukraine will continue for as long as necessary," the statement said.
