Details of Elon Musk's private travels have been revealed after a cyberattack on NetJets Inc., revealing a document showing the billionaire's strict rules for private jet flights.
According to the document, Musk is described as a “polite and quiet” person, but the crew must avoid any conversation unless he is addressed first. He requests that the cabin be kept at a low temperature, around 18°C (65°F), with the individual air conditioning system turned off, as he “does not like noise.”
The lights should be dimmed, as he often prefers to sleep during flights, even when they are day trips. He is also very sensitive to internet outages during flights, but prefers not to be offered technological assistance, as he solves problems himself.
The Sun writes that Musk "isn't worried about fuel economy" but wants the journey to be as fast and direct as possible. This contradicts Tesla's image as a company committed to clean energy.
Musk's favorite plane is the Gulfstream G650ER, one of the most luxurious private jets in the world. It features three separate lounges, state-of-the-art technology with multiple screens, in-flight internet, seats that convert into beds, two bathrooms with granite sinks, and a kitchen with an oven and microwave. The windows and tables are controlled by buttons, while the plane travels up to 12,000 kilometers at speeds close to Mach 0.93 (over 1,200 km/h), enabling non-stop intercontinental flights.
