Three people were arrested by German police in Berlin after they attempted to forcefully take 200,000 euros from a 58-year-old man who had just withdrawn it from the bank.
The man was carrying the euros in a plastic bag when he was attacked by 3 people.
Coincidentally, there were also two civilian police officers at the scene, who intervened immediately.
According to German media, the 58-year-old was physically attacked by a 21-year-old on Hardenbergstrasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg, as soon as the man emerged with a large sum of money from the Volksbank branch.
Officers from Berlin's 25th police department observed the attack and pursued the fleeing perpetrator to Knesebeckstrasse. There, the robber was arrested.
Two suspected accomplices, aged 31 and 49, were arrested by other police officers. The trio was handed over to the local criminal police and processed for identification.
