United States President Donald Trump has decided to pardon 77 people convicted of the so-called conspiracy to overthrow the 2020 presidential election.
Among the people who benefited from this presidential amnesty were former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former presidential lawyer Sidney Powell, and Kenneth Chesebro, an advisor to Trump's 2020 campaign.
Many of the presidential pardon recipients were accused of organizing alternative electoral college slates in key states won by Joe Biden, including Georgia, Arizona and Michigan.
Other recipients of the pardon include Mark Meadows, the former White House chief of staff, and John Eastman, a Trump campaign lawyer.
