US President Donald Trump said he is unsure whether he will attend his eldest son's wedding due to commitments related to the situation in Iran.
During an event in the Oval Office on May 21, Trump was asked by reporters whether he would be present at Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding ceremony this weekend.
"He would like me to go. It will be a small, private ceremony, and I will try to be there. But this is not the right time for me, because I am engaged with Iran and other important issues," Trump said.
The American president added in ironic tones that, regardless of the choice he makes, he will face criticism from the media.
"This is a no-win situation. If I go, they will attack me. If I don't go, they will attack me again with fake news," he said.
Trump also hinted that reports of his son, Donald Trump Jr., 48, marrying Palm Beach model and celebrity Bettina Anderson are true.
The couple announced their engagement in December during a celebratory event organized at the White House.
