Donald Trump says there is no need for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
A peace agreement can be reached while Ukraine and Russia are at war, he said after meeting with President Zelensky.
" I don't think you need a ceasefire. You know, if you look at the six agreements I've reached this year, they were all on war, I didn't make any ceasefires. I know it might be good to have it, but I can also understand, strategically, why one country or another wouldn't want it. You have a ceasefire and they rebuild and rebuild and rebuild, and maybe they don't want that ," he said.
He says he likes "the concept of a ceasefire" because people would stop killing, but " we can reach an agreement where we work on a peace agreement while they are fighting ."
