US President Donald Trump has stated that his telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin was very productive.
Through a reaction on the social network "Truth Social", Trump said that today an important ceasefire was reached for 30 days, which will then be followed by a total ceasefire, followed by a peace agreement that will end the war once and for all.
He further emphasized that both Putin and Zelensky want to see this war end, which is why the US will make every effort to finish this job.
“My phone call today with President Putin of Russia was very good and productive. We agreed to an immediate ceasefire for all Energy and Infrastructure, with the understanding that we will work quickly to have a complete ceasefire and, ultimately, an END to this very terrible war between Russia and Ukraine. This war would never have started if I were President! Many elements of a Peace Treaty were discussed, including the fact that thousands of soldiers are being killed, and both President Putin and President Zelenskyy would like to see it completed. That process is now in full force and effect, and we will, hopefully, for the sake of Humanity, get the job done ,” Trump wrote.
