Turkey has said it is "totally unacceptable" for Israel to order people in northern Gaza to move south within 24 hours.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that the warning, issued by Israel as it prepares for a ground offensive, was inhumane and violated international law!
Turkey urged Israel to reflect and withdraw the warning, which official Istanbul called a big mistake.
" Forcing the 2.5 million residents of Gaza - who have been subjected to indiscriminate bombardment for days and deprived of electricity, water and food - to migrate to an extremely restricted area is a clear violation of international law and it has no place in humanity. We expect Israel to immediately reverse this grave mistake and urgently stop its merciless acts against civilians in Gaza ," the Turkish ministry said in a statement.
