The list of the Serbian Progressive Party led by Aleksandar Vucic has convincingly won the December 17 elections.

Based on the preliminary data in these early elections, "Serbia will not stop" of Vucic won 47 percent of the votes, while the opposition, that of the coalition "Serbia against violence" with 23.1 percent.

Translated into mandates, it turns out that out of 250 seats in Parliament, Vucic's party will have 129 deputies, providing the necessary majority to govern alone. While the main opposition will have only 63 mandates. The third place is occupied by the SPS coalition of Dacic with 6.8 percent or 19 mandates. While the NADA coalition won 4.9 percent, or 13 mandates.

Although there was a very low turnout in the elections in the Presheva Valley, the Albanian parties divided into two coalition lists managed to elect a deputy.

According to the polls, from the community lists, Shaip Kamberi has secured one seat for the Albanian community, the Alliance of Hungarians of Vojvodina is expected to win six seats, the coalition of Croats of Vojvodina three seats and the Russian Party has won one seat.

Meanwhile, the Serbian opposition contested the election process, alluding to manipulations. The chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Boris Tadic, called on all opposition parties to jointly file criminal charges against the organizers, as he said, "for illegal voting by citizens of neighboring countries", referring to the Serbs living in Kosovo.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabič rejected the claims of the opposition, while announcing the victory of the elections, declaring to the media that according to the preliminary data, they will have more than 125 mandates in the parliament.

According to the media, over 20 thousand Serbs living in Kosovo crossed the border and voted in the areas near the border for the Serbian parliamentary elections. This is the first time that Serbian elections were not held in Kosovo. Due to the high flow at the border points, Kosovo police and security forces increased their presence at the customs points and along the border.

A total of 18 parties and alliances have competed to win the support of 6.5 million residents, with the right to vote, for representation in the 250-seat Parliament.

The threshold for entering the Parliament is 3 percent.

First, votes for Parliament are counted, then for provinces and local ones.
