Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Donald Trump to publicly share his peace plans if the former US president has a way to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.
"Now he can share his idea publicly, without wasting time, without losing people, and say: My formula is to stop the war. Stop all this tragedy and stop the Russian aggression. If the idea is to take part of our territory and give it to Putin, this is not a formula for peace," Zelensky said in an interview with CNN, after his speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
Present at the United Nations General Assembly, for the first time since the beginning of the war, Zelensky said that Russia was threatening the world with nuclear weapons.
"We cannot trust the devil," the Ukrainian president said in his speech.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Serghei Lavrov has arrived in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly. The Kremlin official is expected to participate in the meeting of the United Nations Security Council for Ukraine, which will be chaired by Albania, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also present.
