The US-Great Britain relationship has apparently suffered a crisis and the cause seems to be the election of the new head of NATO.
The newspaper " Daily Mail " writes that Biden really hates Great Britain, since according to her, he was the one who blocked the candidacy of the British Minister of Defense, Ben Wallace, to take the head of the Alliance.
Conservatives expressed disbelief today after it was revealed that Joe Biden is pushing EU chief Ursula von der Leyen as the next head of NATO despite her dismal record as German defense minister.
The US president is said to be backing the president of the European Commission to lead the military alliance next year after dashing the hopes of Ben Wallace.
But the delay is widely rumored to be part of a plan for Ms von der Leyen to take over - becoming the first woman to do so - when her EU term ends next year.
The maneuver is a victory for French President Emmanuel Macron, who has been adamant that the next boss should come from an EU country rather than Britain.
However, conservatives warned that Ms von der Leyen was the 'worst German defense minister ever' before she became commission president.
President Biden has been repeatedly accused of being anti-British, while he has boasted several times about his Irish roots.
