Two weeks after being appointed as director, Vasili filled her cabinet with anonymous advisors, hired her director from News24, and signed 17 million lek for an "artistic" project two days before the elections...
Just two weeks after the violent election at the head of Albanian Radio Television, a decision that sources from "Pamflet" link to the influence of Linda Rama, Eni Vasili has launched a series of clientelistic appointments, distribution of funds and predetermined bargains that are giving RTSH more resemblance to a "family services" agency than to a public media institution.
On May 8, 2025, with Letter No. 1275/2, Vasili sent the RTSH Steering Council a request for structural change, requesting the appointment of 6 advisors to its cabinet, of which 2 internal and 4 external, a double increase from the existing structure.
Within just 24 hours, on May 9, the Steering Council approved the request with Decision No. 17, paving the way for the employment of 6 advisors with a monthly salary fund of 5.2 million lek net. The payment came into effect on the same day, while the names of the advisors were not published either in the submitted letter or on the official website of RTSH. They were entered into the payroll in a secret manner, which leaves open the suspicions that we are dealing with “ghost advisors”, personal friends or people connected to the prime minister’s family.
But the jokes don't stop there.
With Letter No. 1414, dated May 28, 2025, Vasili requested the Council to appoint Anduena Manushi to the position of Director of the Programs Unit, presenting her as a candidate who emerged from a “public competition”. Only two days later, on May 30, the Council approved the appointment with Decision No. 23, although Manushi was until that moment the Director of Programs at TV News24, where Eni Vasili was a moderator and employee under her direct supervision.
The market was ready, just waiting for the new seal.
Another episode of clientelism occurred on May 9, just two days before the elections, when with Decision No. 18, RTSH approved the project “Albania Chooses”, with a financial value of 17 million lekë, a project with an “artistic” claim that is in fact a blank check for Eni Vasili’s clients and media friends. At a time when elections are a political act and not an artistic subject, the use of public funds in such a way constitutes deliberate manipulation of public money for party and personal purposes.
Meanwhile, immediately after taking office, Vasili blocked and canceled the tender for the maintenance of the DVB-T2 distribution network, a contract worth 120 million euros. According to “Pamflet” sources, this contract will be re-announced and developed with partners predetermined by Eni Vasili himself or by the prime minister, for whom she has become an institutional “public voice”.
The new governance at RTSH is not a reform, but a direct takeover, a transformation of public media into a platform for propaganda, bargaining and clientelism, where jobs, programs, funds and leaders are divided like loot among a narrow circle that has no connection to the public interest./ Pamphlet
