15 years to have the courage to ask Sali Berisha why he killed

January 21st is not a crime that needs investigation. They are the most filmed murders in the world because they were committed live.

To understand the bitter truth of Albanian justice towards the most serious political crime in Albania, which is January 21, today's SPAK notice is enough. What should have been sent to Sali Berisha on the evening of January 21, 2011, has arrived at Sali Berisha's house on November 10, 2025, almost 15 years late.

There is no country in the world where a prime minister has killed four citizens and for almost 15 years they have not dared to even ask him. I emphasize, they have not dared to even ask him.

These same SPAK prosecutors who took the trouble to send him a letter today have been fighting for several years in the Supreme Court not to take this case under investigation, and after they did, they have been thinking about what to do for the same number of years.

Meanwhile, the same ones have violated every criminal procedure and constitutional rights of citizens under investigation, whether these are high-ranking officials or ordinary citizens, to show that "the law is above everyone" except Sali Berisha.

However, the invitation finally arrived after 15 years and they are now more embarrassed than Berisha himself, who will have to ask.

Most of them were prosecutors on January 21, when their friends, Sali Berisha, would take them down from the Prime Minister's Office courtyard, not letting them document the evidence, he would remove the iron door of the government courtyard in their eyes and would not let them document it, they would go knock all night at the door of the Guard to hand over the Prime Minister's Office server and the guard would tell them to go and eat something before dawn because we won't give it to them. And apparently, the humiliation that Sali Berisha inflicted on them those days, including the brutal attack on Chief Prosecutor Ina Rama with the tongue of a bandit, has caused them to not yet be afraid.

January 21 is not a crime that needs investigation. They are the most filmed murders in the world because they were committed live. The only thing that needed to be documented was the evidence of the crime and the statements of the prime minister who avoided the investigation by blackmailing the prosecution and journalists.

The first piece of evidence is the statement made at 7:30 PM on January 21, where Sali Berisha accused the protesters of being killed by the opposition, with people intervening, with “umbrella guns” and “poisoned knives.” This statement followed the staging of two statements by two doctors close to the Democratic Party, from the Military Hospital, who supported this version of events.

The second piece of evidence is the opposition of January 22, when Berisha ordered the police, and then publicly defended this order, not to hand over to the Prosecutor's Office the six guardsmen accused of murder. This is an official act. The Prime Minister at the time personally took on the task of obstructing justice, commenting on the Prosecutor's Office's request as a scheme to overthrow the government, since "the chain of command of the Guard would be lost."

The third piece of evidence is even dirtier, as it also aims to incriminate the subordinates he ordered to commit the crime of destroying evidence. Sali Berisha did not hand over to the Prosecution the footage from the Prime Minister's server, which had archived footage within the building's territory for all the events of that day. He ordered their deletion at midnight on January 21, dawning on January 22, and on January 23, in a meeting with the heads of the Police and Guard, he lied publicly, stating that the footage from the Prime Minister's server was there and that Gjergj Lezha, at that time the Prime Minister's Secretary General, could hand it over to the Prosecution.

So, he consciously created an alibi after the disappearance of evidence, leaving Gjergj Lezha to be penalized today.

Now Gjergj Lezha must either accept Berisha's statement on January 23rd that he has the server and hand it over, or he must admit that he was ordered to disappear on January 21st at midnight according to American expertise and expose Berisha as a manipulator.

This is public evidence that does not require an investigation, SPAK, or a court. It simply needs to be certified. I don't know what SPAK could have done to think so long, but perhaps it is trying to scare Berisha, whom it has taken as a defendant in a corruption case of state capture, more to victimize and heroize him than to punish him, and has left him alone for a crime that every politician in the world deserves to be tried for.

Now let's wait until Friday, when they call him after 15 years of hesitation and fear, hoping that they have at least gotten over the fear and at least asked him:

Why did you kill those unarmed, helpless, defenseless, and harmless people?
