
The latest Times/Siena poll was conducted by two pollsters, one Democrat and one Republican. They made sure that the survey sample represented the American electorate not only geographically, demographically and politically, but also in terms of educational level.
This allowed them to calculate support for President Biden or former President Trump separately for Americans with higher education and separately for those without higher education.
If the Biden-Trump presidential race were to take place today, the current president would have a 22-point lead among highly educated Americans (54%-32%). On the other hand, among Americans without a college education, the former president would have a lead of 13 points (49%-36%).
Combining the above two poll results, it turns out that today the Biden-Trump race would be very strong, only 1.5 points difference between the two (within the poll's statistical margin of error).
