Kurti himself is one of the fiercest enemies and fighters against the Kosovo Liberation War; as well as the War for Independence in Kosovo, in principle, was developed with the motto 'against invaders and renegades' who do not want the freedom of the people of Kosovo, alias Kurti.
Albin Kurti, who is now the prime minister of Kosovo, is the product of a harsh imprisonment in the former Yugoslavia, from which strong leftists, almost Cekuevarists, emerged. Both Kurti and his mentor, almost the same age as his grandfather, Demaçi, came out of the same prison door, but also with the same leftist idea to preserve the composition of Yugoslavia as 'God' had done.
Immediately after leaving the prisons, both of them were opposed all the time to Rugova's political initiative for the 'Republic of Kosovo'. This was the most powerful dream, in centuries, of the Albanians of Kosovo. However, some Albanians like Kurti, Demaçi and Berisha in Albania, did what they had in their power to not allow either the Albanian war or Western diplomacy to create the Republic of Kosovo.
With the establishment of the Republic of Kosovo, 15 years ago, Kurti was met with protests in Kosovo; while in Tirana, the wing that opposed the Republic of Kosovo, no longer had 'teeth' to bite that new creature of the Albanians and the Western powers. Kurti's movement started the war not to accept the Republic, nor its flag, nor its anthem, nor its constitution. In the Assembly of Kosovo, strong violence was used, up to tear gas, against the laws of the Republic of Kosovo.
For the entire time of 15 years, the Kurti Movement and the Republic of Kosovo have traveled together in a savage war. Finally, the Movement achieved two major victories: the sending of the leaders of the Liberation War to the prisons of The Hague and the victory in the last parliamentary elections when it took over the government of Kosovo.
The third phase of Kurti's war against the Republic is where we are now: The fight to expel from Kosovo the influences and forces of the United States and the EU. Two months ago, with the elections in the Serbian-majority municipalities, the Movement found the opportunity to unfold its 'theoretical' plan that 'we did not seek America here', 'Europe is a paper tiger' and America is naive. Behind the 'woolly' and 'ancient' slogans left over from the Cold War against the West, there was the will to push the West out of Kosovo.
With the eavesdropping of 'insincere' conversations between the leaders of the Movement, 'the cup was full' in the relations between the Republic that came from the War and the will of the people and the anti-Republic Movement. The close connection between Kurti and the Serbian mafia is manifested in the wiretapping, especially on the northern border. It also culminates in hatred against war veterans; there they talk to Serbs that 'they are idiots'.
This had to be seen and heard clearly by the citizens of Kosovo, after this there can be no more doubts as to who is 'with Lufta', who is 'with Kurt'. The West cannot be kicked out of Kosovo, otherwise tragedy will happen.
