Ervin Salianji has only been punished for waging a public and political battle against the person who probably has the greatest influence on the justice system. And for this reason, he probably suffered...
The sentence against MP Ervin Salianji with one year in prison is a decision that stinks. From the very fact that he was sentenced to only one year. Usually in criminal justice, there are rarely sentences of one year in prison. When a person is sentenced to so little imprisonment it means that the offence, even if true in this case, is so minor that it may well be converted to alternative sentences rather than imprisonment. Even more so when it comes to a denunciation within the framework of the political battle, and even more so by a deputy on behalf of an opposition political force. If this is taken as a precedent, there is a risk that most political denunciations will turn into "false reports".
In this sense, it looks like a political revenge of the person who had political costs from that denunciation. The person who is today the chairman of the anti-reform parliamentary committee in justice. It must be said that this is a decision given by the same court that gave the logo and seal to Sali Berisha. Two of the three judges who sentenced MP Ervin Salianji were part of the jury that gave the logo and seal of the Democratic Party to Sali Berisha.
Now, when this court makes a decision in favor of Sali Berisha, it is an oasis of justice, a savior of democracy and political pluralism. When he condemns Ervin Salianj, it is in the interest of the government and a political attack.
The Democratic Party has been in complete incoherence with justice for a long time now. The truth is that all other courts except SPAK and GJKKO are used politically.
Citizens' trust is only in SPAK and GJKKO, all others are usable. For a very simple reason. SPAK and GJKKO are under strong international and United States monitoring and protection.
And yes, the decisions of the Court of Appeal have political influence. Decisions that are both in the interest of the government. Both the punishment of Ervin Salianji and the awarding of the logo to Sali Berisha are of interest to the government.
Ervin Salianji has only been punished for waging a public and political battle against the person who probably has the greatest influence on the justice system. And for this reason, he probably suffered. The person who is known as the leader of the Reform in Justice and now has taken the flag of anti-reform in justice through a parliamentary commission that seeks to hinder the activity of SPAK.
While giving the seal of the Democratic Party to Sali Berisha, he also gave it with the influence of the government. All this history should once again clarify the relationship of the Democratic Party with justice. Because the judgment of justice cannot be made depending on political interest. When it is for me it is an oasis of justice and when it is against me it is captured. In both of these cases, the court is influenced by the government, even when it sentenced Ervin Salianji today, and when it gave the logo to Sali Berisha.
While the defense in the block that his colleagues did to Ervin Salianji today was totally hypocritical. Many of them, I am sure, are happy that they got rid of a person who, with his public and political activity, had marginalized them in the hierarchy within the Democratic Party.
