Elections are no longer a competition. They are not even a festival of democracy. They are a notarial procedure, where the people no longer choose, but only stamp the decisions made by the leaders.
The time when the people decided is over.
Under the new model, instead of the people electing their representatives, leaders set the winning lists. Voting is simply an aesthetic formality, with citizens approving the vision of infallible leaders.
85%-90% of the composition of the next parliament is already known today. The May 11 elections are held only to fill 10-15% of the vacant seats and to test which polling company is more accurate. Democratic miracle!
In America, members of parliament are called “representatives”—people who speak on behalf of the people (the House of Representatives). In Latin, “deputy” means “servant,” someone who works in the interests of those who elect him. In England, a deputy is a “substitute,” someone who steps in for another so that the people have a voice.
In Albania? The MP no longer represents anyone, because representation is outdated. He does not replace anyone, because no one elected him. The MP is a notary, who legalizes decisions that the people neither make nor demand.
Once upon a time, the deputy was forced to speak. Now, he is forbidden to think.
Electoral democracy is outdated. The new notarial democracy leaves no room for confusion or moral dilemmas. The leader thinks, the people sign. And how can there be a purer, more efficient, and more modern democracy than this?
The people no longer have to worry about choosing the best, because the best have already been chosen in advance by the leader, who is always right, even when he is wrong!
