Finally, it is insulting to the victims of that tragedy and above all to Albanian justice that a guilty minister invents conspiracy tracks for the explosion to make him look like the victim of a conspiracy foreign to him.
Fatmir Mediu is trying to buy time and introduce the court into a new spiral of investigation for Gërdec by focusing on the cause of the accident that caused 26 deaths and not on the corruption investigation, for which he is responsible.
Today's request of Fatmir Mediu for the suspension of the summary trial which means assuming the guilt and moving to a normal trial requesting to re-investigate the cause of the explosion is clearly a request to extend the trial in years to restart the investigations about the reason of the explosion.
Basically, it is an attempt to divert the accusations against him for corruption and to deal with the problem of the explosion of Gërdec.
First, we must clarify that the story of Gërdec is a story of corruption and state capture, even if it did not explode and cause 26 deaths. It was even being investigated by the international press, together with another story, as a corruption story, in the center of which was the son of the prime minister, Sali Berisha, which has not yet exploded.
The explosion is a consequence of official corruption and state capture by businessmen linked to the prime minister's son.
That explosion would probably never happen if the company that was going to do the demolition didn't belong to the prime minister's son, didn't hire his aunt's husband, his friend's uncle's son, Krushku and his brother to be safe as a "ready group" that served the originator of the project.
For this reason, Fatmir Mediu as the initiator, as the instigator, as the supporter and as the finalizer of this project for the interest of the prime minister's son, should be investigated for corruption and not for the fire that broke out. The fire investigation is part of the irresponsibility with which every administrative link in that project acted.
Children under working age worked there, uninsured women, scandalous technical security conditions and gunpowder was stored as if it were a pile of corn and not dynamite.
These are all consequences when the prime minister's son is in charge and all the others, including Fatmir Mediu as minister, were his soldiers.
Secondly, if they want to reopen the process and investigations for everything, they should start with Shkëlzen Berisha first. He is the witness and key person of that project. The traces of him and his family in that bloody tragedy are in every letter in every document in every lobbying for the contract and above all in the memory of many of the people who cooperated with him.
If the special court does one hundredth of the voluminous and detailed investigations it did to investigate the assets of Arben Ahmetaj, it not only confirms Shkëlzen Berisha as the key person of that project, but it is a pity in the end for Fatmir Mediu e do to bring him out with all his innocence, even though he will become a martyr for the Berisha family.
Is there a more serious fact than that the Minister of Justice, before formulating a document, prepares its draft, faxes it to Shkëlzen Berisha, waits for his approval, and then sends it with a seal to the prime minister, to his father?
Is there a more serious fact than that his close friend of Shkëlzen, is officially appointed by the documents that the prosecution has as a representative of the American company that dealt with the dismantling and he says in front of the prosecutors that I have never heard of Gërdec?

E pra hetimi i ri duhet të nis me Shkëlzen Berishën dhe nëse Mediu e ka seriozisht, ai duhet të rrëfehet për atë.

In fact, he is a victim of the power of the Berisha Family, he is their obedient soldier and, above all, he is a politician with a mafia profile who has sworn not to talk about that crime in order to save the most incriminated family in the history of Albania. And this reality must guide that investigation and judgment. It doesn't need to be abbreviated. The important thing is not to fall so short that only Mediu seems guilty.
