Why isn't there a political son to "kill" Rama?!

Shkruar nga Irena Beqiraj

A leader who clings to the past, yet knows that its honey can only benefit him in moderation; a man whose mind scans the present but is not captivated by its golden lures, a man who is blessed with the ability to foresee tomorrow.

Why isn't there a political son to "kill" Rama?!
Edi Rama

The Prime Minister does not talk to the members of the group he leads. I doubt he has ever been able to do so, because he simply acts. He can be both a predator and a performer at the same time. The party, the ministers, the mayors, the patronizing directors are his spectators and sworn enemies.

He despises them in the group. Rarely would the individual accept contempt, but in groups, parties, or even nations, contempt can become the rule, since in the group the individual consoles himself by normalizing pain!
The greatest threats to freedom and human dignity do not come from open violence, but often come from the almost invisible passive aggression that limits individual will and moral courage.
As he looks at the portraits of the silent listeners, under the passive aggression of the leader it is visible how eroded their sense of self-esteem is before him.
After 12 years in power the party is a sick, corrupt, although nicely dressed, political body, an unpleasant grouping, a Frankenstein's monster, oppressive, antidemocratic, corrupting and cruel.

It is experiencing a continuum of disintegration where each individual little ego is a small, independent, separate principality. Everyone wants to keep their ego happy, their self limited and intact.

This Passivity not only delays progress but it empowers destruction.

The result?

"He who licks you the hardest bites you the most." "I don't have a political son who can 'kill' me at the moment," says Rama.

Rama has not, by his own admission, raised a successor who is willing to keep the party going after he is gone.
When he is gone, the Socialist Party needs rebuilders who know how to stand in the void, who speak the truth without apology, and who lead with the kind of courage that restores the spirit of the group.

The Socialist Party needs neither a subtle idealist nor a crude realist, but a leader whose eyes can read the sky while his feet tread firmly on the ground. A man of universal sympathy, yet self-controlled, a man who knows the realm of emotions, yet is not a slave to them, a leader for whom politics is not a mere spectacle or a passing shadow, but a solemn game, to be played with care, for today's decisions may have eternal value.

A man or woman who considers politics, how change and disagreement should be accompanied by compromise and participation.

A leader who clings to the past, yet knows that its honey can only benefit him in moderation; a man whose mind scans the present, but is not captivated by its golden lures, a man who is blessed with the ability to foresee tomorrow.
Rama did not raise such a son, and rightly does not recognize him! His goal is that whenever his departure occurs, he will leave behind not a party, but a scorched earth, difficult to rebuild.
