The narrative about the 2025 elections will be forgotten in a few days because the situation is murky everywhere, and Albania will face other challenges for which the opposition is not to blame, but it is impossible for it to be on the front lines.
The Socialists' IV mandate will be challenging for Albania. It has been promised that Albania will open all the integration chapters very quickly and begin the difficult period of legislative approximation to conclude them in succession. The new methodology is beautiful and evocative, but the mountain begins in the period when the chapters are opened and closed. The opposition will be in parliament and will be ready for many of the integration demands. This will greatly weaken its battle for the elections. That harsh narrative of Berisha, Vokshi, Noka and others will be extinguished because the base and people of the DP, when the recount is over, will demand accountability. But it does not end here.
The severity of the people who own the DP will also face a major challenge: With the unknowns that the Socialist Party will put in front of them from now on. And it is not surprising that the Socialists will fill the Executive with such people, firstly to not give too much fuel to the dissatisfied SP and secondly to divide the DP in fatigue, which will have to rummage a lot in Berisha's style to find things in the character of the new opponents.
The challenge will remain for Albania. The great corruption that Rama & Co cannot fight, his disregard for the opposition, the structured languishing of the economy, the great concentration of power and a group of cynical young people who are approaching. The latter in parliament will leave the people of the DP facing their crisis and, as time passes, their future challenges.
The narrative about the 2025 elections will be forgotten in a few days because the situation is everywhere murky, and Albania will face other challenges for which the opposition is not to blame, but it is impossible for it to be in the front row. Opposite or in the Executive, there will most likely be many young people who not only see Berisha as an old phenomenon but also who are not that impressed by the state of the opposition. Unfortunately, Albanians will have unidentified people in parliament who have shown that they know how to carry weight, while on the side of the DP a "solid" group but who has been hardened by defeat.
However, one thing does not change that Rama did and will do the master of the country, while Berisha is harsh, but that is no longer useful to anyone. People do not need leaders who want to appear harsh. They need people who show their harshness with their principles, thoughts and character. Rama is showing his harshness with what he has constructed himself. And Berisha, unfortunately, with his exhaustion in the courts and not keeping his word about leaving, will also face the "unknowns" of the SP who will torture him with Rama-like indifference. And, in this mandate, there are more than +80 of them.
