Why is September 11th considered more important than May 11th?

What are the opposition's objectives, regarding the EU membership agenda, or other issues facing the country? The signs are that there will be no new films. Even the young people seem to be drawn to the old films.

September 11, heralded as the day of the announcement of Edi Rama's fourth government, will most likely not be much political news.

Unless the new cabinet will include, as has been speculated in the public opinion, exponents from the opposition.

Although the news of a new government constitutes an important development in any country, this is not the case for the current Albania. Finding the names of the ministers, it can be said that it is more gossip, since they constitute the most important people of the executive branch. However, politically the most important news is the new parliament that will be constituted before the new government. A parliament, which geographically represents a change, although there is no political rotation. The majority is with more mandates, at the limit of the majority of 84 votes, the opposition is no longer monolithic, but there are also new representatives, who have a direct political challenge in the new legislature.

The majority comes with a group of debuting MPs, whose challenge is not raising the card, or pressing the button, but how they will perform as newcomers.

Meanwhile, after the new parliament, the verification of mandates, the election of the speaker, committees, etc., the procedure continues with the decreeing of the government, the announcement of the cabinet, where in all likelihood, this will be accompanied by dinner panels, with the finding of parallel news to drown out the political significance.

The political agenda then comes with government decisions, the controversies they face, the approval of the budget, and then the procedures begin for the election of the new member of the Constitutional Court, the new head of the BKH, the new head of SPAK, or even the current and new investigations that the special prosecution may bring in the "hot autumn" that those regions warn about, which have had an ice-cold summer and need to warm up when the leaves fall.

The real political news happened on May 11th in the parliamentary elections, which is where the developments of these days are taking place. And precisely, from what happened on May 11th, those reflections on moving forward are expected, as happens in every country.

What will the opposition be like after May 11, which will first face an increased majority in numbers, but also in political objectives. What are the objectives of the opposition, regarding the agenda for EU membership, or other issues that the country faces? The signals are that there will be no new film. Even the young people seem to be turning to the old film. An exponent of Lapaj's party declared that their only MP will join Berisha's group, because they belong to the center-right. Justifying this with a well-known rhetoric that we cannot vote with those who are selling Albania and things of this kind.

By confirming that there will be no new ones from the opposition, contrary to expectations. Even its exponents are asking the people to take to the streets to overthrow the government, not those who provide an alternative on how to win the government.

So it seems that for a while now, everyone is waiting for important news from Edi Rama. Whether in the announcement of the government, in Fevziu's interviews, or in public and international meetings and statements. Because the elections and the acts that come from them have lost their importance. But the months go by quickly and 2027, when the next elections are, is almost here...
