Everything changes; nothing is lost; everything transforms over time; and we humans have a special specificity as the years go by:
For us, the most important thing of all is thought.
Therefore, the question that arises for an individual is this: does this person have his own opinion; or does he repeat the opinions of others?
And here the universal is truly separated from the individual.
But the shining individuality of an individual is not accepted by everyone. And this does not matter, because what is important is that you have your individuality; and that this individuality has to do with knowledge, with truth or with the profession.
You are a scientist.
You are a philosopher.
You are a famous writer.
You are a science professor.
You are a famous painter.
You are a famous musician.
You are a famous athlete.
All of these are well-known and famous people. But here we must be clear that even a famous thief is well-known; and not everyone hates him.
Even a bloody dictator is known, but not everyone hates him; for there are those who willingly give their lives for the dictator.
Well, don't always think of fame as a positive phenomenon; because the fame of a well-known individual can also have a criminal meaning; and of course an honest person does not accept it; but there are individuals who worship even the mafioso; even the head of the mafia.
But why does this happen?
It's simple, because today, like the famous writer; like the famous athlete; like the famous philosopher and the famous artist or musician - they all form fame; regardless of whether this, in relation to morality, is or is not moral.
And this is a reality.
But why is human society faced with this reality where, like scientific invention; like great literature; like great art and like state crime or even world crime, they have fame??
There is still no logical axiom that corresponds to the truth.
But we must not forget that only truth has real value. And truth, to really exist, must be true.
But so far, in human history, lies have dominated the truth; with the exception of science.
No, in science, truth is the great absolute that dominates falsehood with great force.
Well, that's why our modern time was separated from all other times:
Because in our time, truth is born and develops from science.
Therefore our time is the time of science; and therefore the personality of man is so high in the Western World; because science in the West is also at its Apogee.
