Once again, it was proven that political factions in Albania cannot control their own political destiny.
The Albanian nationalist right of the 1930s, while the alliances of World War II were being outlined, blatantly, across a wide spectrum, appeared in favor of the Berlin-Rome alliance, etc., and against the US, England, and later the Soviet Union.
In a way, it was based on interests that seemed well-thought-out national. To many, England and France seemed to be the countries that had sealed the division of Albanian lands, while Germany, on the contrary, as well as Italy, claimed the unification of Albania with Kosovo.
Likewise, there were right-wing ideologues who appeared in the media as anti-Jewish because, by adopting Nazi propaganda, they seriously believed that Anglo-Saxon Europe was in the hands of Jews. Likewise, later, seeing that the BS also joined, they tried to keep communism away from Albania, a communism that they called pro-Slavic.
They didn't know in the 1930s that Hitler would go to mass extermination camps, among other things.
But within ten years the geopolitical conditions changed. Nazi Germany was broken. The hour of reckoning came. They were called collaborators, rightly so, Nazi collaborators, and they went to hell!
Nuremberg was the trial of the history of those years.
But I don't believe they started out badly. They started out with national goals and ended up as collaborators with Nazism.
They started out to bring Albania into the new world order as winners, but ended up behind bars.
Once again, it was proven that political factions in Albania cannot control their own political destiny. Here again, they start with alliances that they think will bring the wind in their sails, and when they change, their ship sinks.
The Albanian political entity cannot control the direction of history. History has been made by others. So it is known where they start, but it is not known where they end.
The truth of our history comes from the outside in and not from the inside out!
