If a foreigner, unfamiliar with Berisha's rhetoric against SPAK and the new justice system, were to look at the scenography of the "pulpit" with 50 people in front of the prime minister's office today, he would think that it was one of those NGOs that support SPAK with Western donors. The scenography featured an entire government cabinet of Edi Rama dressed in prison clothes, where all the senior officials accused by SPAK were, including Mrs. Balluku.
So Foltor's only pride on the boulevard were the "victims" of SPAK, those whom it has accused and brought to trial over the past few years, whom Foltor presents as its trophies.
For someone who does not know the history of Berisha's relations with SPAK, one might be excited by this scenography, thinking that Berisha is praising him in his speeches.
Then Berisha's speech begins, more or less telling his employees on the boulevard that from now on we should no longer hope for SPAK or the Court, that now is our time.
So the only balance sheet of the opposition so far is the balance sheet of SPAK against the government. The scenography was all conceived "with SPAK trophies" by the government, while the square was filled with about 50 people who are all SPAK haters.
But to be fair to SPAK, that scenography should also include Sali Berisha, Jamarbër Malltezi, Ilir Meta, Fatmir Mediu and anyone else who is on the opposition's waiting list, despite Flamur not being able to dress himself in prison clothes.
So the DP must decide whether to be proud of SPAK's record or its own record against the government.
This story of the Democrats bragging about the battle against the government, about the SPAK battle, and then cursing SPAK and running home, makes them laugh.
Now either dress all the SPAK defendants in prison suits and tell the Democrats that SPAK is vile after equating us with the government, or keep that scenography today with photos of imprisoned ministers and say that SPAK is saving our face in the opposition. Until this Salianji gets stronger.
