Three people were arrested in Elbasan, as they were trying to transport drugs and weapons to North Macedonia.
At the entrance to the city of Elbasan, an "Audi" type vehicle was stopped for inspection, with a 21-year-old driver and a 22-year-old passenger.
In this vehicle, 1 Kalashnikov firearm and 114 combat cartridges were found, which are suspected to be possessed for the purpose of trafficking to the RMV.
At the end of the procedural actions, 2 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, as well as the firearm and ammunition were seized.
The Police of Elbasan also arrested a 28-year-old man for drugs. It is known that the young man was stopped in the village of Rrajcë in Prrenjasi while he was traveling in a "Toyota" type vehicle, inside which two bags of cannabis were found.
According to the police, the bags contained about 27.3 kg of cannabis, which was suspected to be trafficked to North Macedonia. At the end of the procedural actions, the 28-year-old was arrested in the act.

The specialists for the Investigation of Narcotics and Illegal Traffic, in cooperation with the operational services of the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, completed within 12 hours, 2 police operations, against the trafficking of narcotics and firearms.

At the end of the procedural actions, the 28-year-old man was arrested red-handed and the quantity of narcotics was seized.
