The killer hammered open the front door and entered the house, finding the woman by surprise. Bujar Fandaj, the 41-year-old man of Kosovar origin, who was reported last month for stalking, has been accused of the girl's death.
Knives similar to the one with which he hit the woman were found in the killer's house. Already for the first time, according to what is learned, Bujari, without a criminal record, had tried to enter the house, climbing over the fence, a few weeks ago.
Bujar Fandaj, the 41-year-old of Kosovar origin, was detained late in the evening of December 19. He is accused of murdering the 26-year-old woman at home in the village of Spineda di Riese Pio X, in the province of Treviso. The victim was hit in the face and then stabbed at least seven times in the chest.
The deputy prosecutor of Treviso, Michele Permunian, and the medical expert, Antonello Cirnelli, rushed to the scene and completed the investigations. There were injuries on the woman's hands, confirming how the victim tried to escape from the killer's rage.
Bujar Fandaj is suspected of trying to deceive the investigators. The 41-year-old "was tracked down at his home and was probably preparing to escape after taking a shower and changing his clothes", but "in the afternoon he made a call to 112" where "he, in a not so indirect way, had admitted that he had committed the murder and had said that he would surrender to the Riese police the next day."
In reality, for the chief prosecutor of Treviso "there is reason to believe that it was an attempt to misdirect and gain time". "Personally, I don't think that if we hadn't stopped him, he would have been handed over today," he added.
