A 23-year-old Albanian was arrested in Germany, after being caught with 3 kg of cocaine. It is learned that he had left Albania in a vehicle towards the Belgian state, but was stopped at the German-Belgium border.
He stated that he had left Albania for Belgium, traveling through Italy and Germany. When questioned, he said he had not consumed any narcotics.
After the positive test, the officers searched his vehicle, where they found more than 3kg of cocaine. The cocaine was worth 300,000 euros. It is reported that the 23-year-old Albanian is in custody.
"The cocaine found has a street value of over 200,000 euros," said Thomas Molitor, press spokesman at the main customs office in Koblenz. Since there were suspicions that the driver of the vehicle had recently consumed narcotics, the police station of Prüm also started proceedings against him on the suspicion that he was driving the vehicle under the influence of drugs. Further investigations are being carried out by the Customs Investigation Office in Frankfurt am Main. At the request of the Public Prosecution of Trier, the investigating judge in charge ordered the measure of detention for the Albanian.
