Two young men have been arrested in Vlora on suspicion of possessing narcotics with the intent to sell. One of them was also wanted for threatening with a firearm.
According to the Police, HM, 30 years old, resident of the village of Gjormë, and Romario Lekaj, 27 years old, resident of the village of Ramicë, were arrested.
The arrest was carried out by specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Vlora Police Department, following checks and information obtained during operations. The two young men were stopped in the village of Gumenicë, while they were driving a vehicle driven by the 30-year-old.
During the search, police found approximately 800 grams of suspected cannabis sativa, which was allegedly being held for the purpose of sale.
The verifications showed that RL was wanted for the criminal offenses of "Threat" and "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition". He is suspected of having threatened citizen AB with a Kalashnikov on March 16, 2026.
The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics".
