Drug trafficking in nightclubs in Tirana, 9 arrested and 2 wanted, among them employees and administrators.
The State Police has finalized the operation codenamed "Night Clubs", after several months of investigations in cooperation with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, cracking down on a suspected drug distribution operation in nightclubs in the Ish-Blloku area.
According to the official announcement, during the investigations, 11 citizens, employees or administrators of premises were identified, who are suspected of distributing doses of hard drugs within the premises where they practiced their activity.
Of the 11 security measures imposed by the Court, 9 "Arrest in prison" measures have been executed, while 2 citizens have been declared wanted and work continues to capture them.
As part of the operation, citizens with the initials EH, 39 years old; AN, 37 years old; KM, 30 years old; RL, 29 years old; ES, 34 years old; EH, 26 years old; MB, 31 years old; A. Gj., 36 years old and FK, 32 years old were arrested. During the physical checks, suspected doses of cocaine were found and seized, as well as 11 mobile phones as material evidence.
Throughout the investigation, police found and seized around 100 grams of cocaine, 2,200 ecstasy (MDMA) tablets, and 11 mobile phones in the clubs.
According to the police, investigations are continuing to fully document this criminal activity and to identify other persons involved, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Procuracy.
"After several months of investigations using proactive methods, the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, has finalized the police operation codenamed "Night Clubs".
During the investigation period, 11 citizens, employees or administrators of nightclubs in the Ish-Blloku area were identified, who are suspected of distributing narcotics inside the premises where they operated.
Out of 11 security measures ordered by the Court, 9 security measures "Arrest in prison" were executed.
Work continues to arrest 2 other citizens. Meanwhile, 2 other citizens were previously arrested during the investigation period.
A 49-year-old man was also arrested in flagrante delicto, who had violated the "House Arrest" security measure imposed by the Court.
During the investigation period, approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 2,200 ecstasy (MDMA) tablets and 11 mobile phones were seized.
As part of the operation codenamed "Night Clubs", the security measure "Arrest in prison" was executed for the following citizens: EH, 39 years old; AN, 37 years old; KM, 30 years old; RL, 29 years old; ES, 34 years old; EH, 26 years old; MB, 31 years old; A. Gj., 36 years old and FK, 32 years old.
The investigations revealed that these citizens, employees or administrators of the premises, were distributing doses of hard drugs inside the premises of nightclubs in the Ish-Blloku area. During physical checks, doses of the narcotic substance suspected to be cocaine were found on them, which were seized as material evidence, along with 11 mobile phones.
During the investigation period, citizens EL, 42 years old, and BL, 59 years old, were arrested, from whom 2,200 ecstasy (MDMA) tablets were seized.
Two other citizens identified as part of this criminal activity have been declared wanted. Work continues to capture them and fully document this criminal activity.
Also, citizen O.(D). J., 49 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto after violating the "House Arrest" security measure imposed by the Court.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
