An event like a movie script took place in Tirana.
A minor was kidnapped by four young men and in return they demanded 5 thousand euros.
The perpetrator of the first case was caught red-handed while taking 5,000 euros from a citizen to not publish the video on social networks, while an accomplice has been declared wanted.
The 2 arrested perpetrators of the second case deprived a minor of his liberty, claiming that he had stolen money from their business.
Police statement:
As a result of the immediate administration of the evidence received by the Tirana Police structures, regarding cases of threats, for the payment of sums of money:
-Specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes, within the framework of the "Exchange" operation, arrested citizen JB, 18 years old, in flagrante delicto and declared citizen A. Gj., 20 years old, wanted, after allegedly threatening a 21-year-old, to give him 5,000 euros, in order not to publish a video of him on social networks. The 18-year-old was caught red-handed, while taking the amount of euros from the 21-year-old, while the Police continue to work to catch the 20-year-old. With the quality of material evidence, the amount of euros and 3 mobile phones were seized;
-Crime Investigation specialists of Police Station No. 4, within the framework of the "Exchange" operation, arrested citizens SH, 30 years old and LH, 21 years old, after they are suspected of having deprived a minor of his liberty, keeping him in a vehicle, with the claim that he had stolen money from their subject. The vehicle used by the 2 arrested was seized as material evidence for the case. Work is underway to fully document the circumstances of this case.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
