After the Prosecution of Elbasan declared incompetence, the group of Laert Haxhiu will be investigated in SPAK, by the special prosecutor Behar Dibra.
It is expected that within Monday, SPAK will turn to the Special Court for the reassessment of the security measures for Laert Haxhiu's group.
The file from Elbasan arrived on October 20, while the prosecutor is expected to submit the request to the Special Court for the reassessment of the security measures within Monday.
SPAK has studied the statements of the repentant justice Artan Tafani.
Sources indicate that Tafani has also talked about two lines of cocaine trafficking abroad. The repentant has also shown concrete names in relation to this issue. SPAK will launch letters to several EU countries to find out more about the people involved.
Tafani also showed the Sky ECC codes that were used by Laert Haxhiu's group. Besides the 18 criminal events that have been documented by the Ebasan prosecutor's office, Tafani has also spoken about other crimes. His statements will be verified by investigators if they are related to the events that took place and to the police records.
Haxhiu and the rest of the arrested are accused of being the authors of 4 murders in Albania, as well as for several murder plans and other events with explosion of tritol.
Some of the events are still in the process of verification and investigation.
Laert Haxhiu is under arrest in Greece pending the court's decision on his extradition to our country. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the assassination of Xjulio Shkurti at the police station in Lushnje in 2016.
Meanwhile, he is being tried at SPAK for the murder of Zamir Latif and Jurgen Hoxha, in 2017. Also in this event, Xjulio Shkurti, Aldo Bara's nephew, was targeted.

The 31-year-old is under arrest in Greece pending the final decision of the courts there for extradition. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the murder of Gerti Lala in 2010, while the trial continues in SPAK for the murder of Zamir Latif and Jurgen Hoxha in 2017, in which the target of the attack was Aldo Bare's nephew, Xjulio Shkurti.
